The Program Layout.

those familiar with Calliope will find navigation within Antevorta very similar. For those unaware however Antevorta is split into five sections which this documentation refers to as screens.
To navigate between each screen you can either tab to the Screen Selection list or hold down alt and press numbers 1 through 5.
Within the screens themselves you can press tab to navigate between their elements and up and down arrow where appropriate, such as in lists.
Antevorta was formally calendar Craziness, but after it was given a completely new look the name was changed to bring it in line with Nathan Tech's theme that fundamental programs (those that should be unquestionably accessible and understandable to everyone) are named after deities that are related to their subject.
In this case, Antevorta was the ancient Roman goddess of the future.

The Main Screen.

The main screen is that which you are shown upon first opening the program.
From left to right (not including the screen selection list) you will find the following:

The Clock Screen.

On this screen you can carry out many functions relating to time.
From left to right the items are:

Timers and Alarms.

Antevorta treats timers and alarms in very similar ways.
You should use timers for more exact smaller choices, I.E, 10, 20, 30 seconds.
For timers you are shown a list of the timers that are available, for alarms you are able to pick from an hour and minute selecter.
Warning: your alarm will not go off if Antevorta is not open!

The Calendar Screen.

The calendar screen is exactly what you would expect.
It's a calendar.
It has three lists, year, month and day.
To jump back to today, press space.
You add events on the events screen, see the below level 1 heading.
Antevorta also supports adding notes to days.

What are notes?

Unlike events, notes are things you may want to record on a day that are not necessarily related to that date.
For example, you may be at work and scheduling meetings when someone mentions to you they'll be coming around this evening for a pint. As such, you may wish to add a note to yourself in the calendar so you don't forget.
That is the purpose of the notes.
You add notes by pressing enter on the day to add it to, press tab once, then hit enter on the manage notes button.
This puts you into a text box in which each line is a note.
So in the above senario, we'd write: "Hide secret alcohol stash."

The Events screen.

This screen is where you add, delete and can view events.
It is true that from the calendar screen you are able to view a list of events and notes by hitting enter on a day but this screen allows you to view the event in more detail.
First on the left is the mode of viewing.
You can choose between category view or date view.
In category view the second list will show a list of categories.
In the date view it will show a list of dates.
The third list shows the events that are in that category or on that date, based on your choice.
While in the list of events you can press enter to bring up the event in full detail.
you can delete the event with the delete key.
If you have external calendars syncing with Antevorta, you can press your applications key to invite new email addresses to the event or you can also respond to the event with either attending, tentative, or declined.
Lastly, by pressing tab, you can get to the New Event button as described below:

Adding Events.

Adding events is divided into two screens:
On screen one you select the year, month, day, hour and minute of the event.
On the second screen you set up settings for the event:

The Settings Screen:

This is where you customise Antevorta to suit you.

External Calendars.

Antevorta currently supports Google and Outlook calendars as external calendars.
The authorisation process for both is very simple and the program walks you through it with informative prompts.
Once authorised, the buttons will change from Authorise, to Edit.
If you click on them again you are then shown calendars that you can choose to sync.
Regularly, both Google and Outlook have your main calendar plus others such as public holidays and birthdays.
From this list you are able to choose which ones should be synced in Antevorta. Press enter on an item to select or deselect it.

Thanks must be given to Albert, jimmy and Annabel for their suggestions, in particular thanks to annabel for her willingness to have her calendar flooded with test invites.
